Food that contain more protein and carbohydrates make the body warm. So, during summer, it is best to avoid carbs and also eat less spicy and oily food. Instead, go for:
Root vegetables like beetroots and carrots
Apples, oranges and mangoes in moderate amount
Ginger, garlic, cloves etc are warming, so it is best to consume these in limited quantity.
Avoid having more than 1 or 2 pieces of dry fruits like walnut, peanuts, pistachios, cashews etc.
