Walking or Running

Walking is easy on knees and less strenuous and more suitable for people in middle ages to old age.
Walking 10,000 steps or more a day helps burn enough calories. On an average walking 6000-7000 steps a day is healthy. It is recommended for fat or obese people.
Running can be strenuous on knees and chances of injury are higher than walking. Not suitable for people who suddenly decide to take up running without previous habit or practice of running. Not recommended for cardiac patients, aged or obese people.
